Google launches free cloud service 'Drive' Apr 24th 2012, 17:17 Google on Tuesday launched its new Google Drive service, a revamped version of Google Docs with improved storage and accompanying software. Google Drive will become available to some users later Tuesday and it will roll out globally "over the next several weeks," a Google spokeswoman said. Each Google Drive includes five gigabytes of free storage, but documents created with Google don't count against that limit. Users can pay for up to 16 terabytes of storage, with prices ranging from 25 gigabytes for $2.49 per month to 16 terabytes for $800 per month. | |
